Climbing the Ladder of Success. How you communicate to the person in front of you will determine your level of success both in your career and in life. It’s all about what you say, what you do and how you act.
The Three Video Presentations will cover:
Part 1: Skills Communication
You will learn how to recognize and adjust to the communication style of the person in front of you in a manner that will make them want to select you to represent them.
Part 2: Listening and Body Language
You will learn how to ask the right questions, listen and communicate to people in a manner where they may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel.
Part 3: Personal Effectiveness
You will learn how to communicate to a person’s “self talk”. When you are done talking their “self talk” is saying: “I cannot think of any reason why I wouldn’t do this. This is in my best interest”.
All people exhibit patterns of behavior or communication styles that we can identify and respond to. Let’s look at some examples of communication styles:
- It’s task before relationship. Their focus is on facts, logic and reason.
- It’s business before relationship. They are telling, controlling and will want to do it their way.
- It’s people over task. The opinions of important people are more important than facts and logic.
- Very social with a high priority on the relationship before business.
Three of these communication styles are different from yours and unless you learn how to recognize and to communicate effectively to these three you will have a very difficult time capturing them.
Empathic Listening and the Silent Secrets of Body Language
An Empathic Listener is someone that has learned to identify with and experience the feelings, thoughts and attitudes of the person in front of them. All communication styles are receptive to an empathic listener.
You also need to understand that it’s not just what you say but how you communicate what you say through your body language. The language of the body doesn’t just supplement what we say; it dominates our conversation.
Learn to communicate effectively and you will change the very fabric of your thoughts and he who cannot change the very fabric of his or her thoughts will never be able to change reality and achieve the success and fulfillment they seek.
Overcoming the Major Barriers to Success
Communication is far trickier than the mere passage of words form one person’s lips to another person’s ears.
This is because 75% of the people you get in front of think differently and process information differently than you do.
When you add the fact that 93% of all communication is nonverbal and nonverbal signals are the cause of much of what goes wrong in communication, you begin to understand that how you communicate to the person in front of you will dramatically affect your career and your personal relationships.
