Hogan School receives GREEN council award...read more about it
Take the GREEN Designation Course from NAR's 2010 GREEN Instructor of the Year...Curtis Hall!
The GREEN Designation
In his new book, Hot, Flat and Crowded, Tom Friedman tells us, "...global
warming, the stunning rise of middle classes all over the world, and rapid population
growth that have converged in a way that could make our planet dangerously unstable."
For too long we have mostly ignored sustainable ways of building and living. But it is not too late
to change. How do we change? By Going GREEN!
The REALTORS® GREEN Designation is based on FOUR Core principles:
- Practicing social responsibility
- Promoting sustainability
- Conserving and efficiently using energy, water and land
- Enhancing health and well being
The New NAR® Designation course will help us understand:
- The vocabulary of green
- Not all green products are green
- How to recognize and promote green communities
- How to identify and market a home's green features
- Components of green design and sustainable building
- Systems for efficiency and conservation
- Healthy vs. sick buildings
- How to improve indoor air quality
- The different types of green buyers and sellers
- Marketing yourself as a green agent
- Opportunities to convert GREEN into greenbacks
Go GREEN with Hogan and you get:
- Emphasis on local and statewide issues and programs
- Instructors who bring passion, fun and today's technology to your classroom experience
- A BONUS CD, exclusively for Hogan students, that includes: 1) The Arizona GREEN Advisory© with over
100 "hot links" to green websites; 2) A promotional video, "The Power of GREEN," that
only Hogan students may use to promote their services as GREEN Designees; 3) The Green Test to help
understand the green motives of your clients.
Going green is a challenge and an opportunity for us and our nation. Witness the ever
increasing amount of Green Marketing the consumer is confronted with on a daily basis
and it's clear to see the Green Movement is rapidly reaching critical mass and here to stay.
As Tom Friedman says, "Green is the new red, white and blue." Join us in seizing this
tremendous opportunity to preserve and improve our way of life for all future generations.

Here's what students had to say...
"An exhilarating, challenging, totally entertaining way to
spend three days exploring the topic of GREEN. I never looked at my watch; you won't either! This course will
make a difference in your life, your real estate practice and your world." -Lucy Kraft
"Loved the interaction… the class materials were good but, above
and beyond, the instructors' excellent facilitation of bridging from book to actual experience
of the class enriched the entire experience." -DeeJaye Lockwood
"My goal in taking this class was to gain practical,
UNBIASED knowledge on how to construct and/or remodel residences in keeping
with sensible green practices. This class way exceeded my expectations and I recommend it highly." -Rachel Hendrickson
"The NAR Green Designation class instructed by Hogan
School of Real Estate exceeded my expectations by far. This 3 day class was very informative,
applied real estate scenarios, encouraged class participation and has made a true
positive difference in the way that I run my real estate practice. I enjoyed the
passion for making a difference especially in a challenging real estate market.
Thank you again!" -Tiffany Huff
"This was the most interesting class: stretched my knowledge gave me more insight and
the collegiality of class - all enhanced the learning experience plus the visuals and handouts
were excellent. All in all, the class is right on target for GREEN and the designation for use in
today's marketplace. After all GREEN is the new Red, White & Blue (according to Tom Friedman)." -Claire Jean Prager
