The Fundamentals of Land Brokerage

This 2-day REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI®) Land University course introduces participants to the land brokerage specialty. As a result of taking this course you will:

  • Understand the basics of land brokerage
  • Determine if a tax deferred 1031 exchange is a viable option
  • Calculate market values of land investments
  • Define property rights and restrictions
  • Be able to consider environmental and regulatory issues in a land transaction

Designation Information

Students who successfully complete Land101, who have never been members of RLI, and are members of the National Association of REALTORS® or who join NAR through RLI with an annual payment of $75, are eligible to receive a one-year FREE membership in RLI. This is a $295 value.

Instructor

Bob Benedon, ALC, CCIM has been a licensed real estate agent since 1984 and has been working in commercial real estate since 1990. His real estate experience extends to land; all types, sales, purchase, site selection, market studies, due diligence and valuation. Bob teaches land issues, highest and best use, and 1031 Exchanges. Bob is Past President of Southern Arizona’s CCIM Chapter, is a member of Arizona’s REALTORS® Land Institute Chapter and the Tucson Commercial Round Table.
