Complete the two-day "Core" Course and one
elective course.
Obtain a passing grade on the written exams.
Demonstrate practical experience by completing and
closing five real estate transactions in which you
functioned as a buyer's representative.
Transactions must be completed and closed anytime
prior to and up to 36 months after attending the
ABR® course.
Be a member in good standing with the National
Association of REALTORS® and REBAC, the Real Estate
BUYER'S AGENT Council of NAR.

Curtis Hall, ABR, CRP, CRS
The “Frozen Faced” & The Country’s First ABR® When taking the ABR® course, why not take it from the very person who
wrote the book? Curtis Hall co-authored the ABR® course in 1993 and is a full-time
real estate practitioner in Phoenix, Arizona. This ABR® course is a real-world learning
experience in which Curtis demonstrates his unique methodologies used in his own active
real estate practice to differentiate his services from the competition. Curtis has sat on
more than twelve local REALTOR Association and NAR committees and was awarded REALTOR
of the Year by his local Association. As a participant on several Professional Standards
committees and with his expertise in all aspects of risk management, Curtis is called
upon frequently by the legal community as an expert witness.
Racin’ Richard Koevary, ABR The “Dean of Agency” Richard has a BS degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis. Originally
from New York, Richard’s first involvement in real estate was in California in
the early 1970’s. He has lived in Tucson since 1984 and is the President of Blue
Sky Mortgage, Inc. In addition to conventional financing, Richard buys, sells and
originates private loans. He has been teaching licensing and renewal classes at
Hogan School since 1990 and has been involved in hundreds of Tucson real estate
transactions. When Richard’s not at work he enjoys road racing and dancing Argentine Tango.
Singin' Jim Hogan, ABR, DREI A REALTOR® since 1971 and member
of the REBAC National Hall of Fame, Jim Hogan is known nationally for his innovative
teaching style and is often referred to as one the country’s leading educational
visionaries. As a Tucson educator and founder of Hogan School of Real Estate in 1973
and one of the founding members of RealtyU, a national consortium of more than 40
real estate schools, Jim has helped thousands begin and sustain successful real estate careers.
Jim Hogan and Curtis Hall developed the acclaimed “Innovative Marketing for Buyers
Representatives”, course which is currently offered nationally alongside the
ABR® core course presentation. Jim is also a mortgage broker and investor and
was one of the first educators to be awarded the Real Estate Educators
Association’s Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation. Jim is a singer
and songwriter and has released two CDs.
